Sales tax on invoices for American users

To add a sales tax to a product and save its rate in the system, you have to go through the following steps.

1) Add your product name and proceed to sales tax.

2) Among available tax rates in the dropdown, choose More and add your sales tax rate.


2) After you have filled in your invoice with your product, save it. The products you added on the invoice with automatically appear in "Products" tab.

3) Once you are ready to create the next invoice with the same product, you will have to choose it from the dropdown menu and add it to the invoice.

You can also manually add more products or edit your product sales tax rates in the Products tab in the menu on top of the page.

Now, once you have a few products created either by adding them directly on the invoice or through the Products' page, you have all tax rates saved.

With this feature, you no longer have to go to the settings, add a tax rate and name it, then come back to the invoice etc. This process is much easier and more intuitive with InvoiceOcean.

Thanks to this approach, you will never get lost with a variety of sales tax you have to add to your products.
