Login types - default login and Multipass SSO (Single Sign-On) login

InvoiceOcean, in addition to manually creating user accounts, also offers 'inward' synchronization with other services through the widely used Multipass SSO (Single Sign-On) protocol.
Using the Multipass SSO protocol allows for seamless login between separate services without the need to provide login credentials each time.
Through this protocol, InvoiceOcean is able to authenticate users from an external database.
If you are logged into the InvoiceOcean service, and the option to log in using this protocol is active on your account, logging into an external service, upon proper configuration, will happen automatically.
Login type - default:
When creating a new account in InvoiceOcean, the default login option is selected. You can verify this by going to the Settings > Account Settings > Integration tab. Right after creating an account in the system, in the Logging in section, under the Login type, you will find the Default value.
The Default login is nothing more than logging into the service each time by entering your username and password manually. Even if accounts on two different services are created with the same email address, you need to log in separately to each site, providing the required login credentials.
Login type - Multipass SSO:
The Multipass SSO protocol allows for the automation of logins across various services.
If the services are integrated, and you use the same email address and password for login, logging in with the Multipass protocol happens automatically, without the need to manually enter the required data each time.
Multipass, in addition to the link you need to specify in the Multipass URL field, also requires a private token that you create in the MultiPASS token field.
In the Multipass URL field, you must specify the URL to which the system will automatically log you in. To the URL itself, you must also add the value multipass_server_login. An example value in the Multipass URL field should look like this: https://testmultipass.sugester.pl/multipass_server_login.
You can generate the MultiPASS token using the button above the token field, labeled Create/reset token.
Multipass is more challenging to configure, but in return, it provides greater data security.
Multipass provides the ability to automatically create and log in users by transmitting appropriately encrypted data in query parameters.
A user who wants to log in to InvoiceOcean is redirected to the address specified in the Multipass URL settings.
Let's use the integration of InvoiceOcean with Sugester as an example.
If you have an account in InvoiceOcean and Sugester registered with the same email address, then after activating login with the Multipass SSO protocol, you can automatically switch between accounts without entering login credentials. Just enter the URL of the account to which automatic re-login should occur in the Multipass URL field. In the case of the integration of InvoiceOcean and Sugester, switching is done using the Invoices and CRM buttons, which redirect to the specified URL.
Multipass SSO login can also be useful if you have your own website where users log in to access free content. If in the future you decide to set up a store on a ready-made e-commerce platform like Shoper, Presta, or Shopify, you can also use Multipass login. Simply enter the store's URL as the Multipass URL, and your users will be automatically logged in based on the information provided on the website. With Multipass login, users are automatically redirected from the website to the store based on the email address they provided during registration on the original site. If an account associated with a specific email address does not exist, it will be created. Logging in through Multipass SSO eliminates the need to synchronize any customer databases.
