Do you want to avoid unwanted changes to invoice statuses? With the right settings, you can easily restrict access to document modifications and better control their flow. See how to enable the block invoice status change and who it applies to, in order to ensure full data security.
Block invoice status change
You can apply the block invoice status change to email addresses with the system role User (this also includes the Accountant role), or to users and administrators on your account.
To enable the block invoice status change:
1. Go to the tab Settings > Account Settings > Configuration > Users and privileges,
2. In the field block invoice status change, select one of the available options: For users only or For users and administrators.
3. Confirm the changes by clicking the Save button at the bottom of the page.
From that moment on, changing the status will only be available to the user who is not affected by the lock set in the account settings.
If you select the option for users only, the lock will apply to email addresses assigned to the roles of the User and Accountant. The option for users and administrators additionally applies the lock to email addresses assigned to the role Administrator.
When the Block invoice status change is active, the status field appears grayed out, regardless of the status assigned to the document.
